　　Bringing your dog to the office could lower your stress levels and improve morale among your fellow employees, a study suggests.一项研究表明，把你的狗狗带到办公室里可以降低你的压力值，同时还能提升职员的士气。

　　Although bringing a pet to work could come with practical difficulties, a trial at an American company suggested it improved people's job satisfaction.尽管把宠物带到上班的地方实施起来有一定的难度，但来自一家美国公司的试验表明这一做法提高了人们的工作满足感。

　　Dog owners also reported that it reduced their feelings of stress, which previous studies suggest can lead to higher rates of absence and lower productivity.狗狗的主人们说狗狗可以降低他们的紧张感，但早前的研究则表明这一做法会导致员工的缺席率增加和工作效率低下。

　　Researchers from Virginia Commonwealth University studied 75 people at a manufacturing company where each day for a trial week 20 to 30 people were allowed to bring their dogs to work.来自弗吉尼亚州联邦大学的研究人员对一家生产公司的75名员工进行了研究。在这一工厂里，每天有20到30的人员得到允许可以带他们的狗狗来工作。

　　Using samples of saliva taken throughout the day they compared levels of stress hormones among people who brought in their pets, people who owned dogs but left them at home, and staff who did not have pets.通过采样一天的唾液，他们比较了三个不同人群的压力激素：带宠物来工作的人们，养狗狗但留在家里的人们和没有养宠物的职员。

　　First thing in the morning there was no difference between the groups, but during the day stress levels declined among people who had their dogs by their side and increased among the other two groups.早上各个人群间还没有什么不同，但是在工作的白天期间，有狗狗待在身旁的人们的压力激素水平下降了，而其他两组人群的压力激素却上升了。

　　Having dogs in the workplace appeared to improve morale among all members of staff, regardless of whether their pets were present, the researchers reported in the International Journal of Workplace Health Management.据《工作场所健康管理》杂志的研究人员报道，带狗狗到工作的地方可以激励职员的士气，不管他们的宠物有没有在他们身边。

　　Randolph Barker, who led the study, said: "The differences in perceived stress between days the dog was present and absent were significant. The employees as a whole had higher job satisfaction than industry norms."负责这项研究的伦道夫巴克说：“在这些天里，狗狗在身边和不在身边时人们显示出的压力差别很明显。总的来说，比起工业标准，雇员会有更高的工作满足感。”
